07:43 IST:

... THE RUN CHASE ...

07:46 IST:

Right then, the game is nicely poised at the halfway mark. Scotlandwill feel that they left a few runs out there with the bat and will have to make up for it with the ball. Wickets in the Powerplay will be of utmost importance for them. On the other hand, Australiawill back themselves to gun down this total and they have the resources to get over the line here. Remember, England and Scotlandare currently level on 5 points in Group B but the defending champions are ahead on NRR.If Australia do achieve this target of 181 runs, England will go through to the Super 8s. Back in a bit to see how the chase unfolds.

07:42 IST:

Brandon McMullenis up for a quick chat. He says it was fun and awesome to bat out there. Adds most of the ground in the Carribean has a strong breeze flowing across which helps to hit the shots with the wind. Mentions it is lovely to see George Munseybat and informs they have played together for many years back in Scotland.

07:51 IST:

This has been an excellent fightback with the ball fromAustralia. A tale of two halves really for the Aussies who were under pressure in the first 10 overs.Despite Ashton Agar delivering an early breakthrough, they were put under the pump as Munsey and McMullen took them around to all corners of the park. The Aussie bowlers soon realised that taking the ball away from the stumps was the way to go and reaped the rewards for it throughout the second half of their bowling effort. Adam Zampaled the charge, yet again with the ball while Nathan Ellisand Mitchell Starcexhibited their death bowling skills to deny Scotlandthe finishing kick they were after. As many as 6 catches were put down by Australia, something you do not associate with them but more than them, it will be England who will be unhappy with those missed chances.

07:36 IST:

Not the kind of finish Scotland were after and they will feel that they are 10-15 runs short of where they would have hoped to be. They were 138 at the end of 15 overs and could only manage 42 in the next 5 overs to finish with 180.After being put into bat, Scotland were dealt an early blow in the form of Michael Jones. Brandon McMullengot off the blocks quickly which allowed George Munseyto take his time initially. Soon, both batters matched each other shot for shot to lay a solid foundation. It was in no way crash, bang, wallop by McMullen but proper cricketing shots on the way to a 26-ball fifty, the fastest for Scotland in T20 World cups. Considering the platform set, it was important for the incoming batters to keep the momentum up. Richie Berringtonheld one end up but neither of the incoming batters could find boundaries with regularity and as a result, they had to settle with 180 on the board. This is Scotland's highest score in Men's T20 World Cups and the highest score by an Associate nation against Australia in the history of the tournament.
